Volunteer Abroad Volunteer programs can be powerful tools and wonderful experiences. However, at this time the Study Abroad Office does not provide academic credit for these programs, or endorse any specific volunteer program. If you wish to use a volunteer program as part of a Service Learning project, Global Studies Immersion Experience, or for another program or extracurricular activity, please contact your advisor or Dean Yasmine Ziesler. Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms - for volunteer work on organic farms. You get yourself there, they give you room and board, you make a minimum commitment of one month. HelpExchange.net - an online listing of host organic farms, non-organic farms, farm-stays, home-stays, ranches, lodges, B&Bs, backpackers hostels and even sailing boats who invite volunteer helpers to stay with them short-term in exchange for food and accommodation. WorkAway.info - a website set up to promote fair work exchange between budget travelers, language learners or culture seekers and families, individuals or organizations who are looking for help with a range of varied and interesting activities.
